Talk Title: How do we relate to sexual violence? Evidence on laboratory sex research 

Joana Carvalho (PhD in Psychology) is the director of the Sexual Behavior and Health Lab (SexBeHealth) at the University of Aveiro and the William James Center for Research. Carvalho is currently researching in the field of chronotype and sexual health, sexual violence, and sexual objectification tendencies, with a special focus on how sexual behavior emerges in the digital tech culture. Carvalho has been credited in clinical psychology, forensic psychology, and sexology by the Portuguese Board of Psychologists. She is the president of the Portuguese Society of Clinical Sexology and an expert member of the National Health in Schools Program task force, specifically the Sexuality Education, Rights, and Inclusion (ESDI) task force, under the Directorate-General of Health, Ministry of Health, in Portugal.
