Talk Title: The Porto Proclamation on Sexual Health, Rights and Justice
Dr Elna Rudolph is a South African medical doctor and clinical sexologist dedicated to advancing sexual health and rights globally. She serves as the Immediate Past President of the World Association for Sexual Health (WAS) as an Executive officer of WAS, the Chair of the World Sexual Health Assembly and is a founding Director of the African Institute for Sexual and Gender Health and My Sexual Health.
Deeply rooted in Africa yet globally engaged, she champions inclusive, evidence-based approaches to care and capacity-building across disciplines and regions. Her initiatives have helped establish postgraduate sexual health training in Africa and strengthen international collaboration between professionals, policymakers, and communities.
At the European Federation of Sexology meeting in Portugal, Dr Rudolph will share insights from the Porto Proclamation process — highlighting how collective global action can advance equity, dignity, and justice through sexual health.
