Ana Filipa Beato is a clinical psychologist and clinical sexologist with over 15 years of professional experience in clinical, academic and community settings. She holds a PhD in Clinical and Health Psychology and is an Assistant Professor at Universidade Lusófona (Portugal), where she coordinates the Master’s Degree in Sexology. Her academic and clinical work focuses on sexuality across the lifespan, sexual health, stigma reduction, sex education, and evidence-based psychological and sexological interventions. Ana Beato has coordinated and participated in several national and international funded projects, including Erasmus Mundus initiatives, and regularly collaborates with healthcare services, NGOs and educational institutions. She has published in peer-reviewed journals, contributed to book chapters, and is actively involved in the training of future professionals in psychology and sexology, with a strong emphasis on human rights, inclusion and ethical practice.
