Ciro Basile Fasolo
Professor of Communication, Leadership and Management, School of Medicine, University of Pisa
MD in 1977, specialist in Andrology (1980), postgraduate course in clinical sexology (1982), and in Bioethics (2009), Assistant Professor (University of Pisa) from 1988 to 2018. In 2000 he invented the SPA, Andrological Prevention Week, which it was carried out until 2013, coordinating 265 centers in Italy which allowed the observation of over 100,000 men. In 2006 he published the volume “Doctor-Patient Communication in Sexology: the experience of Erectile Dysfunction”. In 2010 he created the Master in Communication Ethics in Medicine, with an adjoining Laboratory of Communication in Medicine (LabCom). In 2021 he published the volume HP Homo Patiens, Short journey into male suffering between history, science, religion and means of communication, which addresses the themes of pain in the male genital system and considers man in his physical dimension and in his psychic, social and religious dimension. The volume has been approved by the Italian Society of Andrology, the European Society of Sexology Medicine and the Training Center of the University of Pisa. He is the scientific director of the magazine IoUomo in Salute, of the Italian Society of Andrology and is a professor of Communication, Leadership and Management in the School of Medicine of the University of Pisa
