Antonio La Torre

Antonio La Torre was born in Crotone on September 14, 1963. He graduated in Medicine in Bologna in 1988 and specialized in Psychiatry (since 1992), psychotherapist, and clinical sexologist. For over thirty years, he has been a medical director in psychiatry at the Provincial Healthcare Services Company of Trento, with previous experiences in other public services in Northern Italy. He currently practices at the “Centro Salute Mentale” of the S. Maria del Carmine Hospital in Rovereto, where he has also served as external consultant to the local prison. He obtained the diploma in “Clinical Sexology” in 1999 from the Italian Center of Sexology, of which he is currently a teaching member. He is also a Member of the Bioethics Commission of the Order of Doctors of Trento since 2018. Antonio La Torre is an author of numerous publications in psychiatric and sexological journals, particularly focusing on sexual dysfunctions caused by medications. He is Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Italian Center of Sexuology (CIS) in Bologna and he has taught clinical sexology at the General Medicine Schools of Trento and at the CIS Sexuology School. He is experienced in consultation, diagnosis, and therapies for male and female sexual dysfunctions and has presented numerous papers as a speaker at various conferences. Currently, he is head of the “Centro Salute Mentale” in Rovereto.
